Easy cheese sauce – and no nasty preservatives!
I thought this was pretty delicious but DH admitted he kind of missed the “chemicalness” of Velveeta. Ah well. I’ll be making this again because it’s so easy and it was tasty – even if it wasn’t EXACTLY Velveeta! (which, truthfully, could probably be adapted depending on the type of cheese used. I used straight sharp cheddar because we had it)
Easy Cheese Sauce

1 c. cold milk
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp butter
1 cup cheese (your preference)
Directions
– Mix the milk and cornstarch and bring to a gentle simmer
– Add the butter and let it melt in
– Add the cheese and stir until fully incorporated
– Serve however you want!
