Apparently March forgot about its “Lion” status. Our march started out quiet, and is ending quietly on a 65 degree/sunny day today!

My arms weren’t quite as sore as I’d feared today (I can hold a pencil without my arms shaking LOL) but sore enough to feel like it was an awesome workout. Perfect!

My right calf is very sore from Monday…the stationary bikes at my gym just don’t fit my body, but periodically I get stubborn and try to ride one. I’m thinking this is a result of that attempt on Monday. During work I put Biofreeze and/or a Bengay patch on it, and at home I’m using my foam roller, so hopefully I’ll be in tip top shape again soon. The good news is it didn’t bother me at all on the elliptical yesterday, but it’s sore when I walk.

I have a hair appointment today (hurray for strengthening the blonde!) after work, which means workout has to be creative today. Nothing wrong with that – but this week is chaotic because of a trip to see my family this weekend, so it’ll be my last workout for this week.

I’m going to pack our tennis rackets, and see if DH will play tennis or go for a walk with me while we’re visiting. My dad lives on a farm that borders a 100+ acre shrub/tree nursery. We used to trail ride our horses on the nursery all the time, and the trails are easy to walk, too.

We’ll see – but it’s supposed to be gorgeous out while we’re there and I’d love to take advantage of it!

Breakfast

Banana oatmeal + egg beaters

Oatmeal contained:

  • ½ cup oats
  • ½ cup water + ½ cup milk
  • Pinch of salt
  • Dash of vanilla extract
  • ½ banana, mashed and mixed in

I added a sprinkle of brown sugar, chopped walnuts and cinnamon

Snack

Totally forgot my grapes today. Sad. 🙁

Lunch

Side salad (spring mix, grape tomatoes, yellow pepper, cucumber, carrot) with red wine vinaigrette (I actually made the salad dressing this time rather than just packing red wine vinegar!)

Last of the leftover spinach/sausage stuffed shells. They really were heavenly.

Unfortunately, after I got to work I realized I packed stuffed shells for lunch, and spaghetti was tonight’s dinner.

Oh well – it’s an Italian/carb-y feast today!

Snack

Dark Chocolate Coconut Kashi bar before my hair appointment

Exercise

I had great expectations for today for an at-home workout but my hair appointment ran long and I didn’t get a chance to do what I wanted.

Instead, I walked Holly for an hour and then I spent time packing for the trip – we leave tomorrow after work.

Dinner

Spaghetti with turkey meatballs and homemade garlic cheesy bread (b/c DH requested it)
