I’m so glad it’s almost-Friday (Thursday). This seems like the longest week ever!

Breakfast

Red Berry rides again! Although apparently I was so excited I forgot to photograph it. Just red berry cereal, milk, and a perfectly ripe banana.

Lunch

I wanted a greek salad from the farmer’s market, but it has zero protein, so I went half and half: I bought a greek salad, boxed up half for tomorrow, and ate half today with my leftover garlic lemon chicken with orzo and broccoli.

Snack

A brownie. With icing. From a can.

(Ugh. Why did I eat that? I can feel the sugar slump coming.)

And ½ a honey almond flax granola bar

I really wasn’t hungry at all for snack.

Exercise

10 minutes of moderate cardio as a warm up

I did a full body workout again, but I did one focused on testing the balance of my left and right sides. I am left handed/left sided, and when I started working out I focused a lot on my right side, because it was naturally weaker. But at some point I realized my right side was the stronger one – and I’d been neglecting my left side!

These moves are all single-sided to test/correct that.

I did 2 sets of 12 of each, at a slightly lower weight than I knew I could do (as I’m still sniffly and working on this cold)

  • Single Leg Calf Raise (on a step)
  • One-Arm Preacher Curl
  • Single Arm Reverse Cable Pressdown
  • Single Arm Lat Pulldown (standing/straddling the lat pulldown seat)
  • One Arm Seated Cable Row
  • Alternating Arms Chest Press on Flat Bench (dumbbells)
  • Alternating Overhead Shoulder Press
  • Single Leg Squat
  • One Legged Leg Press
  • One Legged Deadlift

I also fit in some ab work in between exercises:

  • Crunch with alternating toe taps
  • Crunch with twist (legs at 90 degrees)
  • Reverse Crunch
  • Leg Lifts
  • Seated Crunch Leg Pull-In
  • Alternating Toe Touches
  • Balancing Twists with Medicine Ball
  • Supermans
  • Bird Dogs
  • High to Low Planks

HRM reports 563 calories burned in 1h20m

Went home with every intention of walking the pup, but, the neighbor dog was out and they ran laps around both yards for half an hour. Better exercise for her anyway. LOL

Dinner

Leftover stuffed shells (yum) and salad

Evening

Doing some prep work – my in laws are over for dinner both Friday and Saturday, so I needed to get some things ready for Friday.

Weekend

Friday: in laws over for dinner…won’t have time to gym after work, or do errands. Boo.

Saturday: errands, and making kuldunai for Saturday night’s dinner with the in-laws. Again.

Sunday: dropping in on a friend for his “open house” for his 30th birthday 🙂
