I swear I’ve been trying to record my foods for posterity, and for the blog, for a week.

I kept forgetting to photograph meals!

Drives me crazy!

But I got it today…so here you go! (Courtesy of my phone. Thus the lighting.)

First off…

I feel like I’m packing for weeks when I pack my lunch in the morning. I mean, look at this! LOL

Breakfast

2 delicious mini-sammiches (2 whole wheat mini bagels (with the insides torn out), 1 egg+1 egg white, and 2 slices of Canadian bacon

6 sliced strawberries

Gym

So…I did something really gnarly to my leg at the gym on Friday. I was finished with a set of lunges and it felt like I had a Charlie horse in my left thigh..so I walked around a bit, massaged it, and it went away.

I went to do squats, and fell on my butt…my left leg suddenly hurt – BAD – and wouldn’t hold me up! ACK!

Needless to say, I went home after that (no more leg work was happening that day) and rested all weekend.

BUT – it’s still hurting me, so I’m going to take it easy today.

In addition, I want to start the New Rules of Lifting for Women (NROLFW) program next week, so I’m taking this week easy as a “rest” week. I hate rest weeks…I hate not doing anything, but when I choose activities, I have to keep it light and easy. Especially when I’m all busted up (I can’t even stretch or do yoga yet on this crazy leg!!)

  • 45 minute GENTLE walk on the treadmill. No incline, no super-speed, and hopefully I’ll heal soon
  • 20 minutes of back/biceps…circuit style with 30 seconds rest

HRM says I burned 500 calories — I’ll take it!

I came home, but my stomach was growling…I have trouble with those Larabars staying with me!

Holly pup wanted a walk, so I grabbed a small piece of deer bologna and 2 crackers and off we went for a 25 minute walk.

Look how cute she is…

Dinner

DH always cooks on Mondays, and he insists on steak once a week, so…we generally have steak on Monday. I know – we’re wild and crazy!

Filet Mignon wrapped in bacon (My dad gets me free Omaha steaks regularly via work…and he always picks them out because there’s no store near me. This time he was feelin’ the bacon-wrapped for some reason!), Smart Taste pasta (closest thing to whole grain pasta my DH will eat or cook), and garlic sautéed green beans.

Do you see all that pasta? DH literally gives me equal share to what he gets. Holy pasta! (I didn’t eat it all LOL) He also loves sprinkling cheese on everything. It’s really a calorie-counting nightmare.

Snack

‘Tis the time of the month for chocolate…and I solved my craving with two Mint Newmans and a swig of 1% milk. Yum!
